Density is about 1.45 kg/l to ISO 1183-1, Shore A hardness about 28 after 28 days to ISO 868, and tear propagation resistance about 7.0 N/mm to ISO 34. Sag flow is 0 mm on a 20 mm profile at 50C to ISO 7390. It is ASTM C 920 class 35 and carries GEV-Emicode EC1PLUS R for low VOC emission. Shelf life is 15 months from production. Primed substrates need Sika Aktivator-205 with a flash-off of more than 15 minutes and less than 6 hours, or Sika Primer-3 N or Primer-215 with more than 30 minutes flash-off. Cured sealant can only be removed mechanically.

Boards require treating with a PVA bonding agent before finishing. Moisture resistant board is not a waterproof board and still needs a tanking system in a shower area.

Column style radiators are far weaker for their size: Concord Side Chrome at 500mm wide gives only 221 W at 830mm high, 297 W at 1130mm, 371 W at 1430mm and 448 W at 1730mm, and the Lecco at 1200 by 500mm gives just 200 W. Concord Side Concept at 500mm wide gives 374, 483 and 602 W at 830, 1130 and 1430mm high. Working pressure on the designer ranges is 4 bar. Stelrad states repeatedly that t50 is the UK industry standard and that a low temperature heat source needs the t40 or t30 outputs instead, applying the correction factors table in the brochure, which is the single most important caveat when sizing radiators for a heat pump.
