Sika
Manufacturer data sheet for a one part moisture curing polyurethane construction joint sealant, with the joint design rules a movement joint depends on. Joint width must be a minimum of 6 mm and a maximum of 50 mm, and a width to depth ratio of 2:1 must be maintained; widths under 10 mm are generally for interior connection joints or crack control only. Curing rate is approximately 3 mm per 24 hours at 23C and 50 per cent relative humidity to CQP 049-2, so a deep joint takes days, not hours. Density is about 1.45 kg/l to ISO 1183-1, Shore A hardness about 28 after 28 days to ISO 868, and tear propagation resistance about 7.0 N/mm to ISO 34. Sag flow is 0 mm on a 20 mm profile at 50C to ISO 7390. It is ASTM C 920 class 35 and carries GEV-Emicode EC1PLUS R for low VOC emission. Shelf life is 15 months from production. Primed substrates need Sika Aktivator-205 with a flash-off of more than 15 minutes and less than 6 hours, or Sika Primer-3 N or Primer-215 with more than 30 minutes flash-off. Cured sealant can only be removed mechanically.

Heavy (H) and light (L) restraint straps in pre-galvanised mild steel, stainless to order. Heavy straps are 4 mm thick and 28 mm wide for lateral restraint of trusses, rafters and joists tied into masonry; light straps are 2 mm thick for vertical loads such as wall plates. Stock lengths 500 to 2000 mm in 50 mm increments, with bend (B) dimensions of 100 mm or 150 mm and twist (T) versions. Characteristic capacity: H series 8 kN using 8 no. N3.75x30 square twist nails into the wall plate; L series 4 kN using 5 no. 5.5 x 50 mm masonry fixings and 3 no. N3.75x30 nails into the joist or rafter. Installation rules given: horizontal lateral restraint straps at not more than 2 m centres, attached to at least three timber members through noggings and packing; the bend must be a minimum 100 mm and positioned at the centre of an uncut block or brick; vertical restraint straps at least 1 m long; masonry fixings are hardened 4 mm x 75 mm nails or 5.5 x 50 mm screws into plugs, with the lowest fixing within 150 mm of the bottom of a vertical strap. Straps fixed to noggings or trusses take eight 3.75 x 30 mm square twist nails evenly distributed.

Manufacturer datasheet for perforated acoustic absorption plasterboard, the board used to kill echo rather than block sound transmission. Perforation patterns are 10 mm square holes in a 470 x 470 mm rectangle pattern with 130 mm between blocks giving a 16 per cent open area, 12 mm round holes in a 1037 x 1037 mm pattern with 163 mm between blocks, and 15 mm round variants. Weights are 6.9 kg/m2 for the C10 N8 and R15 N1 boards, 7.1 kg/m2 for R12 N2 and 7.2 kg/m2 for R15 N8 and L5-80 N8, or 19.9 to 20.7 kg for a 2400 x 1200 x 12.5 mm sheet. Reaction to fire is Euroclass B-s1, d0, which is a step down from the A2-s1, d0 of solid plasterboard because of the acoustic fleece backing. Boards are white faced with a white acoustic fleece on the back and tapered long edges.

Manufacturer datasheet for high density acoustic plasterboard. Weight is 11.0 kg/m2 at 12.5mm and 13.0 kg/m2 at 15mm, or 31.7 kg and 37.4 kg for a 2400 x 1200mm sheet, against 8.0 kg/m2 for standard board at 12.5mm, so acoustic board is about 38 per cent heavier and mass is exactly what buys the sound reduction. Transverse breaking load is at least 210 N, higher than the 160 N of standard board. Thermal conductivity is 0.25 W/mK to BS EN 12524:2000 giving 0.050 m2K/W at 12.5mm and 0.060 m2K/W at 15mm. Reaction to fire is Euroclass A2-s1, d0. It complies with BS EN 520:2004+A1:2009 as Type D and I. The board is coloured blue on the front face and grey on the back so it can be identified after installation, and it takes gypsum finishing plasters or GTEC jointing systems.
